82-year-old Tatiana Strage is suing Trader Joe's after being hit in the head with a can of tuna. According to the lawsuit, Strage says she was shopping with the "screaming banshees" at the UWS 72nd Street Trader Joe's location last February when a can fell from above and struck her on the bridge of the nose. Worse, she claims that two employees stood and watched as she bled and complained of dizziness.
Workers eventually handed her wipes and a band-aid, but that wasn't enough for Strage. Because of injury, and the non-chalant attitudes of the Trader Joe's employees, she's seeking $350,000 in damages. Gothamist called this the "single most Upper West Side lawsuit in history," and we're inclined to agree.
