A 12-year-old girl in Bryan County, Oklahoma was home alone when 32-year-old Stacey Jones attempted to break in. The girl quickly called her mother, who told her to grab the family gun (fantastic parenting) and hide in the closet.
Jones began working his way through the house, and started to open the door to the closet where the girl was hiding when she fired a slug through the door. The bullet hit Jones in the torso, and he fled on foot. He didn't get very far before being arrested and sent to a local hospital where he was treated for his injury.
Fortunately, the young girl was unharmed.
Did anyone stop and ask the mom why she told her 12-year-old kid to grab the family gun? Did the kid ever train with the gun?
