Since its inception, Complex has been all about breaking the next big thing. "Is" can turn into "was" in the blink of an eye, so we're always looking ahead. To salute our fellow forward-thinkers, Complex is launching the Man of Next Year Awards. We're going to shine a spotlight on the men who are set to transform the worlds of Music, Sports, Art and Design, Pop Culture, and Style.
Starting Monday, October 22, we will begin to reveal our nominees, along with a series of videos showing the Complex editorial staff's deliberation process. Each Monday thereafter, we'll debut a new set of nominees in a new category, and announce the winner for the category the following Friday. The editors have culled the nominees, but it will be you, the users and fans, who will get to choose the winners. Each winner will get a bespoke, custom made varsity jacket designed by Marc Ecko, and will then go on to compete for a custom, one of a kind Fisker Karma (the new eco hot rod) and their own Complex.com digital cover.
Voters will be eligible to win the chance to fly to the set of the cover shoot, where they will get a ride in the Fisker, and receive a varsity jacket of their own. So vote now, vote often, share the conversation, and include the hashtag #MONY13.
