According to Brad Pitt, he could find any drug in any city in 24 hours. This isn't far-fetched, because he is Brad Pitt, but the 48-year-old actor only said this to illustrate what a waste of time the war on drugs as been. While speaking to The Huffington Post about The Skin I Live In, a documentray he produced, Pitt had this to say:

My drug days are long since passed but it's certainly true that I could probably land in any city in any state and get you whatever you wanted. I could find anything you were looking for. Give me 24 hours or so. And yet we still support this charade called the drug war. We have spent a trillion dollars. It's lasted for over 40 years. A lot of people have lost their lives for it. And yet we still talk about it like it's this success

Pitt and director Eugene Jarecki spoke about how who the war on drugs really targets here in the U.S. That's exactly what The Wire's third season was about—the war on drugs is truly just a war on the underclass.
