Ann Coulter Gets Blasted By Special Olympian After Her "Retard" Remarks

In case you missed it, conservative pundit Ann Coulter unleashed this sleazy tweet on the world during the latest Presidential debate:

I highly approve of Romney's decision to be kind and gentle to the retard.

Obviously the “retard” she was referring to was President Obama. As usual, Coulter’s comments brought on a firestorm of controversy because, let’s face it, she’s one of the worst human beings on the planet. But no response to Coulter’s immature and insensitive tweet has been met with more applause than that of John Franklin Stephens, a 30-year-old man who suffers from Down syndrome.

In an open letter posted on the Special Olympics blog, Stephens wrote a heartfelt response that shows the type of understanding and compassion that people like Coulter should be displaying at all times. Check out an excerpt here:

I have to wonder if you considered other hateful words but recoiled from the backlash.

Do yourself a favor and check out the rest of the letter. It’s not often that people on the Internet are this logical and inspirational, and any time someone can put Coulter in her place is always welcome here.
