That upcoming cop comedy series from Parks and Recreation co-creator Mike Schur and writer Dan Goor has its lead: According to Deadline, Andy Samberg is set to star in the show, which follows a "diverse group of detectives in a precinct at the very edge of New York City." Samberg will portray a lead detective, and will also be a producer on the series.

"Andy’s hilarious, and he was the first guy we thought of when we designed the part," Schur and Goor told Deadline. "From the moment we mentioned his name, everyone at Universal Television and Fox was 100% on-board. Andy loved the pitch, and it all came together really quickly. We couldn’t be happier."

The series, which is untitled for now, is set to air on Fox some time next year.
