Amy Poehler Set to Produce Pilot Based On the "Broad City" Web Series for Comedy Central

Good news for fans of the web series Broad City: According to Deadline, Comedy Central has given a pilot order for a show based on the web series. Set to star is the duo behind the web series, Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer, and Amy Poehler will executive produce alongside the two.

"Amy Poehler told me this would be a great show for us," Kent Alterman, Comedy Central’s head of original programming, said of the pick-up, "and that’s good enough for me."

The web series follows two girls - Jacobson and Glazer - who live in New York City, and often run into "mundane events" that are both "hysterical and disturbing to watch all at the same time." You can check out a trailer below.
