Here's something we weren't expecting. According to @evleaks, the same source that recently exposed what are believed to be the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 smartphones pending from Nokia, both devices we'll feature built-in wireless charging capabilities. Above, a photo of both devices docked to what looks to be a proprietary wireless charging port.

Wireless charging devices comprise a growing sector of the mobile industry with obvious appeal to mobile users. If the new Lumia phones support wireless technology right out of the box, it would be a big step toward bringing the technology to the mainstream. This is exactly the kind of innovation, like Siri or Surface, that makes every other manufacturer in the industry's ears prick up.

We'll know if the rumors are true very soon. Nokia is expected to announce the new phones at an event with Microsoft tomorrow.
