Activision today released details about the Wii U version of Call of Duty Black Ops 2, the upcoming Call of Duty game that finally sends the series to the near future.

Black Ops 2 players on the Wii U "can join the action in a full Call of Duty experience from the second-screen," claims a press release sent out today. On the other hand, a single player can use the GamePad's screen to view the map in multiplayer, call in streak rewards and choose loadouts.

You'll also be able to switch between any number of different control schemes at will, using the classic Wii Remote and Nunchuk, the Wii U classic controller, and the Wii U GamePad.

And of course, the Wii U version should boast graphics that are nearly identical to those on Microsoft and Sony's systems.

Nintendo announced today that the Wii U will come out on Nov. 18 starting at $299, and Black Ops 2 will be released within the system's launch window, according to Activision. Will it be the definitive version?
