Over a month after its release, The Dark Knight Rises is still breaking records. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the final installment in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy has grossed $431.2 million in the domestic box office and $574 million in the international box office, putting its total earnings at about $1.005 billion dollars - making it the 11th film in history to ever surpass the billion dollar mark. That total is only slightly more than the $1.003 billion that film's predecessor, The Dark Knight, grossed in 2008.
