Known In The '70s For: Variety show personality, Las Vegas performer

You'd be hard pressed to find a bigger personality in the feel-good decade than Charo. Having made her first America television debut in the mid-1960s on the Today Show, the Spanish-American entertainer took her talents to Las Vegas at the top of the decade and became one of the most sought after headliners, alongside Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, and Dean Martin. Charo's colorful persona and skimpy stage outfits eventually landed her spots on The Love Boat, Donny & Marie, and even the Brady Bunch variety spinoff. In total, the peak of her 15 minutes of fame lasted over 15 years.
