Known In The '70s For: Being Hugh Hefner's girlfriend

Barbi Benton first appeared on the cover of Playboy magazine in the late 60s, having met Hugh Hefner on the set of the TV show Playboy After Dark. Though never a Playmate, Benton held the more prestigious title of Hef's Main Squeeze for seven years. She was a go-to TV babe, appearing as her bubbly self on The Tonight Show, Hollywood Squares, and Hee Haw. She was a semi-successful country artist who in 1975 had a top-five single, "Brass Buckles."
