Talk about not being able to move on. A woman, who chose only to identify herself as "Tracy," sent her older sons and nephew to investigate suspicious sounds in her attic. Fearing an animal or ghost, they found something far worse—a man that she had broken up with 12 years ago had turned the heating unit of her Rock Hill home into his new crib.

The woman said she last saw him a year ago when he performed some work on her home. He sent her letters while he was in prison, but she made it clear that their relationship was over. The 44-year-old man, who struggled with addictions to drugs and criminal activity, was released from prison two months ago.

The man had packed coats and jackets into the heating unit, and was sleeping inside of it. He created his own toilet system too, as police say the found Sonic cups filled with feces and urine. The only entrance to the attic is from inside of the home, so the woman has no idea how he managed to turn it into his own uncomfortable apartment without her noticing.

He fled before police arrived and is still on the loose.
