Sony today announced an array of external battery chargers that are compatible with various smartphones and tablets. Depending on your needs, Sony has chargers with capacities from 3,500 to 7,000mAh. It will take about an hour and a half to give your device a full charge with the new devices.
The external chargers also come in various sizes, the largest charger being about the same size as a typical smartphone. If you aren't feeling the thought of carrying around two smartphones, Sony will also be launching a smaller, slimmer, thumb drive-sized charger. Sony's chargers only provide power via USB so iPhone users will have to rely on Mophie cases.
Look out for Sony's external chargers, in various colors this fall. They're expected to hit stores at price points between $30 and $90.
