Earlier this week, we gave you a list on the most racist reactions to Barack Obama's Democratic National Convention Speech. And while those were undoubtedly some of the most ignorant and offensive things we've read all week, the saddest tweet comes from a 16-year-old girl named Alyssa Douglas, who inexplicably sent out this ridiculous message:

What may be even more disheartening than that message is the fact that the tweet has been RT'd over 300 times with 60 people marking it as a favorite. Since it's publishing, Ohio's Clinton-Massie Local School District officials have already met with Douglas and her parents, her account has been removed and the Secret Service is looking into the matter to see if there is a legitimate threat towards Obama's life. It sounds very cliche to say that you gotta think before you act, but it's especially important in a forum as public as Twitter. Now, whether she meant it or not, Alyssa will need to live with those choice words for the rest of her life.
