According to Deadline, Richard Brake and Clive Russell have joined the cast of Thor: The Dark World. The site is reporting that Brake will play the captain of the Einherjar, an Asgardian warrior team that aids Thor in his adventures. And Russell has been cast as Tyr, the god of war and Thor’s older brother.
Brake has experience in the comic book genre as he played Joe Chill in Batman Begins. On the other hand, Russell just joined the cast of Game of Thrones as Ser Brynden the Blackfish, so he is undoubtedly familiar with The Dark World director Alan Taylor, who also directed numerous episodes of the show.
