Average news for the 2012 Primetime Emmys: According to Vulture, last night's telecast of the award show on ABC did alright in the ratings, pulling in 13.2 million viewers which is up a tad bit from last year's 12.4 million. In not as good news, however, the airing garnered only a 3.8 rating in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 viewer category, tying it with 2008's Primetime Emmys as the worst telecast of the show ever. Considering that Sunday Night Football pulled in about 20 million viewers last night, this isn't particularly surprising, but still not good news.
