The bad news is that the NYPD raided the Boardwalk Empire set in Greenpoint. The good news is that it was only for a training exercise. Show producers allowed the Emergency Service Unit to use the set for a little practice session where New York's finest stormed the set by helicopter to rescue "hostages" inside of the Ritz Carlton Hotel. Six fictitious terrorists were taken into custody and, just to make things extra realistic, a wounded officer was airlifted to to safety.

Could you imagine a similar scene unfolding during the Prohibition era?
