Both federal and local authorities were treated to a pleasant surprise inside of a Richmond Hill apartment on Wednesday: 86 pounds of heroin worth an estimated $20 million, and a MetroCard. According to the Special Narcotics Prosecutor's Office, eight packages weighing 2.5 pounds each were lying on the floor, and another 11 packages were stuffed inside of a duffel bag. A table was being used as an assembly line, where another 10 kilos were found.

Jose Santiago Diaz was arrested on multiple counts, and the fact that he's an illegal alien won't help him out much either. Authorities had suspected the apartment was a drug den for weeks, and noticed someone wearing the tell-tale latex gloves of a dope-peddler on Tuesday. After approaching the building, they noticed the strong smell of heroin coming from a window and air conditioner.

Game over.
