Watch what you tweet, because both the Twitter police and actual police might pay you a visit, especially if you're stupid enough to say you want to assassinate the president. Donte Jamar Sims, who lives in Charlotte, NC, where the Democratic National Convention went down this week, tweeted that he planned to "hit president Obama with that Lee Harvey Oswald swagg" a day prior to the convention.
He explicitly stated the he would assassinate President Obama, even bragging that the Secret Service wouldn't do anything about it. Followers attempted to warn him that the police would pay him a visit, and he figured it wouldn't happen. He was wrong. The Secret Service visited the 21-year-old on Wednesday, and he reportedly laughed when and agents read his tweets aloud.
Sims was taken into custody, where his defiant spirit wavered. Though he admitted he hates President Obama, the self-described #1 Lupe Fiasco fan penned an apology letter. He says that he was high when he scripted the tweets, but understood what he was doing and that it was wrong. Sims is a fan of FLOTUS Michelle Obama apparently, referring to her as "sexy as hell."
He's still in custody and has a federal detention hearing next week. That means he has plenty of time to think about how fucking stupid he is.
