Though the new Jesse Eisenberg- Dakota Fanning-starring film, Night Moves, doesn't begin shooting until next month, it may have already run into some major production issues. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Edward R. Pressman Films - best known as the production company of American Psycho and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps - filed a lawsuit against the film, claiming it is a "blatant rip-off" of the 1975 Edward Abbey novel, The Monkey Wrench Gang, which is soon to be turned into its own film by Catfish directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman. The company says they purchased the rights to the novel, and they would like all production, sales, and promotion of Night Moves to be halted until further notice.

From the lawsuit:

None

The director and writer of Night Moves, Kelly Reichardt, has not yet released a comment.
