A busy schedule promoting her new show The Mindy Project (which airs Sept. 25 on Fox) may have kept Mindy Kaling from actually attending New York Fashion Week, but that didn't stop the comedian from imagining.
After tweeting "fake fashion week time," Kaling sent out a serious of funny tweets documenting her experience (in her head) on Saturday (September 8).
"Was late to Alexander Wang bc couldn't drag Adrien Brody out of bed at Trump Soho. Fearne Cotton put her backpack on my seat, tho yay #nyfw," she wrote in one tweet.
"Got thrown out of Diane von Furstenberg, for allegedly asking James Franco if he 'was DTF at DVF.' Adrien and I no longer speaking. #NYFW," she sent in another.
Even Aziz Ansari got in on the joke and tweeted at Kaling, "Hey @mindykaling, are you still coming to see the Hermes for Babies line I designed? Our show is in 15 mins."
If her tweets are any indication of her upcoming show, her sitcom is guaranteed to be a hilarious hit.
