Konami has announced today that the Xbox 360 version of Metal Gear Rising: Revengance has been completely scrapped. Japanese users will still get a PlayStation 3 release, but Konami has given no reason as to why the game has been cancelled.

The rest of the planet should fear not. All of the other regions will be getting their copies of the game without interruption. America, Europe, and everyone else will get their copies for both Xbox 360 and PS3 early next year.

This is not the first Japanese cancellation for the 360. Konami has scrapped Silent Hill HD and Silent Hill: Downpour, and it looks like the Japanese market is just not that into Microsoft's console.  What do you guys think? Let us know on Twitter.
