Two men from the United Arab Emirates were arrested for trying to smuggle endangered slender lorises—small primates with large eyes—through airport security in a rather unconventional manner.
Security guards at Indira Gandhi International Airport in India had noticed suspicious bulges in the mens' underwear during a frisking, uncovering a scheme to sneak the crepuscular and carnivorous lorises to Dubai in carefully placed pouches. The lorises were fine, thankfully.
So, hold on: Their plan was to take small, carnivorous primates and to place them in their underpants for several hours at a time, presumably without feeding them? Did nobody point out the glaring flaws in their plan?
