18-year-old Paula Asher landed in the slammer after laughing at her drunken hit-and-run on Facebook. The comment "My dumbass got a DUI and hit a car LOL" pissed off the parents of the teens in the car that Asher hit so much that they requested a judge in Woodford County order the comment—and her entire Facebook page—be removed.
Asher "LOLed" at that before refusing, so judge Mary Jane Phelps sentenced her to two days in jail for contempt. While Asher's actions are both insensitive and immature, it's unclear which law required her to delete her Facebook profile. Regardless, she was charged with driving under the influence while underage, possession of a controlled substance, and leaving the scene of an accident.
She'll be back in court on Sep. 27. LOL.
