OK, we've got some good news and some bad news. The good: After months of playing coy to everyone from Us Weekly to the LA Times, Jason Sudeikis finally stopped modeling his life after that "Should I Stay Or Should I Go" song by The Clash, and has officially decided to remain on Saturday Night Live next season.

The bad news? According to EW, NBC has confirmed the comedian's return, but they've remained rather silent on exactly how long he'll be staying. SNL creator Lorne Michaels did have a bit of info, however, telling the New York Times, "Right now the idea is that Jason will go through at least until January...he’s a fiercely loyal guy, both to the show and to me." The possibility that Sudeikis could remain on the cast for the whole season is, of course, still on the table.

The 38th season of SNL is set to premiere on September 15.
