Although some critics have been unable to get excited about the iPhone 5, customers are clearly on a different page entirely. More than two million iPhone 5s were sold in just the first 24-hours of pre-order availability, Apple has announced, smashing the record set last year by the iPhone 4S.
AT&T also reports unparalleled sales for the device on their network, declaring it the fastest selling phone in their history. With demand for the iPhone 5 exceeding supply, those who pre-order the phone now are not likely to receive one before october. The new iPhone will hit store shelves on September 21.
