Let's see if James Brown can buy his way out of this mess. The 45-year-old, who retired to Portugal at 36 after making serious bank (we're talking millions) as a property developer, was arrested after police found cocaine hidden in the roof and air vent of his Bentley. Authorities traveled to the Hurst House Hotel in Laugharne, Carmarthenshire where he was staying and found several illegal handguns and more cocaine. A 9mm semi-automatic Walther PP1 pistol, a Russian 9mm Tula Tokarev, and a rifle were discovered.
Brown was introduced to cocaine after moving to Portugal, where he used his wealth to fund his addiction. His daily cocaine use led to health issues including heart problems and the collapse of his nose after the drug destroyed the cartilage of his septum.
