Fox Searchlight is looking at Natalie Portman to portray former First Lady Jackie Kennedy in a new biopic titled Jackie, Deadline is reporting. The film, penned by Noah Oppenheimer, was originally set to star Rachel Weisz and be directed by Black Swan's Darren Aronofsky, but the project fell through when he and Weisz broke up and subsequently both dropped out of the film.

It's being rumored that Portman likes the script, but wants to decide after she knows who the director is - and there's some speculation that Aronofsky could return, but also reports that Steven Spielberg was interested in the script in 2010, so there's really no telling at this point.

Can you see Portman as the former First Lady?
