Online auction juggernaut, eBay, found success by creating a marketplace for people to trade and sell collectible and hard to find items. To assist these avid collectors, eBay has launched Setify, an organization service for collectors.
Setify, currently in a private beta, allows users to share collections either acquired on eBay or from private collections. Additionally, users are able to set up wishlists of desired objects and can share their progress with other eBay members.
The launch of Setify has been limited to coins and comics books, but eBay has promised an expansion into other categories in the near future. The expansion will also include an iOS and Android app to support the service.
