With the superhero genre taking a break from the big screen until next summer, The CW is looking to fill all of your comic book needs with the debut of Arrow this October. Based on DC's Green Arrow, Stephen Amell stars as the titular hero who defends Starling City with his trusty bow and arrow. Think of him as a radical left-wing version of Batman.
This latest promo for the show puts an emphasis on the series’ darker tone and brutal nature. Unlike Smallville, this show isn’t focused on super powers and special effects; instead, it looks to take a Batman Begins approach to the stripped-down hero. If this series is even half as good as that movie, comic book fans could be in for something special.
Arrow will debut on October 10.
