Gearbox CEO and president Randy Pitchford announced over the weekend that the fifth playable class in Borderlands 2 'ought' to be available by October 16. The Mechromancer class will be free to everyone who pre-ordered the game, everyone else will have to fork over the $10 to be able to play with the new class.
"There may be a little fudge factor there," Pitchford said, but the fact that we have a concrete-ish release date is good enough for us.
