When smoothies and liquor collide, you'll want to be in attendance. Matt Levine and Michael Shah, who previously collaborated on Sons of Essex, now present the festive Cocktail Bodega (205 Chrystie Street) Located on Chrystie Street on the LES, the new joint offers liquor-infused smoothies and mixed drinks complete with freshly squeezed juices. The menu attacks street food from a different angle, with dishes such as the Cuban Sandwich Quesadilla, which consists of ham, Swiss Cheese, Gus's pickles and aichote aioli.
Cocktail Bodega officially opens its doors tomorrow at 11 a.m. and will close at 4 a.m. daily. It also features a downstairs lounge known as CBU (Cocktail Bodega Underground) that's open from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. and looks just like a subway train thanks to seats and poles bought from MTA.
