On Friday, a U.S. Appeals court ruled that Samsung did not "infringe a design patent that had been the basis for blocking sales in the United States." As a result, U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh could possess the power to remove the ban on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, which was removed after the jury ruled in favor of Apple in the two companies' patent dispute one month ago.

Apple, though, is contending that the tablet should still be banned since the device does infringe on other patents. If the appeal that Samsung already put in place before the jury's ruling doesn't take effect and Koh can go ahead and reconsider the ban, she has already made it clear that might permit sales of the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
