First appearance: More Fun Comics #101 (1945)
If Hollywood can’t get Superman right, why would we think that they would do Superboy any justice? Whether they go for the young Clark Kent version, or the current Kent/Lex Luthor clone hybrid version, it doesn’t matter because we don't think either would be done justice. No one wants to see a pre-pubescent demigod finding out about his powers and going through a series of clichéd growing pains for two hours, and that’s exactly what this movie would wind up being.
The problem with Superboy is that no matter how long the character has been around, he’s still just the warm-up act to big blue himself. When it comes to saving the world from monsters, alien threats, and sadistic bald businessmen, DC should just leave it to the adults.
