It isn't even out yet (outside of Japan), but the Hyrule Historia, Nintendo's first-ever official Zelda encyclopedia, has already taken the number-one spot on Amazon's bestsellers list.

That means it's also toppled Fifty Shades of Grey, a "novel" that felt like it would never go away, from the top spot.

Hyrule Historia gives the first comprehensive account of the Zelda universe, including a canonical look at the Zelda timeline—something that was only speculated on previously, given the confusing nature of the games' ambiguously connected storylines.

It's also got a wealth of info about everything Zelda-related, and an introduction from Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto that we can't wait to read.

So will you be poring over the Hyrule Historia when it comes out in January? Or will you just re-read Fifty Shades of Grey again? Tell us in the comments or on Twitter.
