If you watched any of the recent Olympic games on NBC, congratulations, you are now a statistic: According to Deadline, the 2012 summer games that took place in London over the past couple of weeks were the most watched event in U.S. television history, more than the 2008 summer games that took place in Beijing. The record setting number? 219.4 million viewers, as opposed to the Beijing games' 215 million. Additionally, the closing ceremony alone - which aired last night - pulled in some high numbers for the network, and at 31 million viewers, was the most-watched non-U.S. closing ceremony since the 1976 closing ceremony in Montreal.
