Mobile data is the precious gem of cell phone providers. If you are a heavy data consumer your options are limited if you are shopping for a unlimited data plan. The number one and two providers, Verizon Wireless and AT&T respectively, no longer offer unlimited data. Sprint, the third largest wireless provider, fortunately still has unlimited data, while number four, T-Mobile, has a unique data plan where your data speeds are slowed down after downloading a certain amount. However, T-mobile has announced a new unlimited plan without data speed limits.
The data speed limits received a lot of backlash and T-Mobile needed a new strategy to stay relevant in the mobile game. Currently, T-Mobile offers an unlimited talk and text plan with five gigabytes of data for $74.99. The new plan launching September 5 will only cost $20 on top of the $49.99 unlimited talk and text plan, not a bad deal for the data hungry.
