Prepare your eyeballs. Sony has just taken the wraps off its first flagship entry in the coming 4K TV revolution— An 84-inch Bravia LCD with 10 built-in speakers offering virtual surround sound.
The set, announced today at IFA in Berlin, is capable of upscaling current media to 4K, which is fully four times the resolution of the highest quality HD available today. That's helpful, since pretty much nothing is available in native 4K yet.
Sony says the TV will be available by the end of the year. Expect its as-yet-unknown price to rival that of a midsize sedan.
