With the presidential election fast approaching, the big question surrounding the upcoming season of Saturday Night Live is undoubtedly who's going to portray the new political players, namely GOP nominee Mitt Romney's new running mate, Paul Ryan. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, longtime SNL cast member Seth Meyers sort of hinted that he might be up to take on that role in future sketches, though he did add "after I played John Kerry, which everyone agrees is the greatest political impression in the history of the show, why mess with success?"
According to TMZ however, Meyers has officially taken himself out of the race to portray Ryan - which leaves, as the gossip site points out, Bill Hader, Taran Killam, Bobby Moynihan, Jay Pharoah (we're gonna go with a probably not on this one), Kenan Thompson (also not likely), or a "Random new guy," though even they think that's not likely to happen.
Who do you guys think would be best to take on the role of Ryan in the upcoming season of SNL? Sound off with your thoughts in the comments.
