After playing Nick Fury in the summer's biggest movie, The Avengers, and having a part in Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained later this year, Samuel L. Jackson has had a blockbuster 2012. And according to the L.A. Times, he's not looking to slow down any time soon.

The site is reporting that Jackson has just signed on for a role in Spike Lee's upcoming remake of Old Boy. In the movie, he will play one of the men in charge of guarding the film's hero (Josh Brolin) while he is being held prisoner. Brolin's character later comes after him in a vile bit of revenge. In the original, Jackson's character had his teeth removed one-by-one by the claw end of the hero's trusty hammer, but this version will supposedly differ from that method of torture. However, it promises to be just as brutal.
