Aside from being the parent company of Marvel Entertainment, it looks like Disney might be planning on bringing some comic book properties that aren't under the umbrella of the House of Ideas to the big screen. And according to Vulture, the studio is taking meetings with writers to hear pitches for a reboot of The Rocketeer.
Fans might remember The Rocketeer from the original 1991 movie, but aside from a small, yet loyal, fanbase, that version really didn’t appeal to the masses. However, with the recent superhero boom, it looks like Disney is going to give it another try. Now just because the studio is taking meetings doesn’t mean that a Rocketeer reboot is a sure thing, but it’s obviously on the studio’s radar.
