The identity of the next celebrity set to join the American Idol judges panel alongside Mariah Carey and possibly Randy Jones has been widely speculated since former judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler both announced their departure from the series, but it seems like we might finally have some semblence of a lead: According to The Hollywood Reporter, King of the Tween Heartthrobs Nick Jonas revealed he is being considered for the show.
The news comes from a tweet written by Jonas himself yesterday, which reads, "The rumors are true... I am being considered to be a judge on American Idol, and it would be a dream come true if it happens.#nickonidol."
Though nothing's been confirmed yet, bringing Jonas onto the show would make sense in terms of ratings - considering The X-Factor's got Demi Lovato, Idol's gotta get those tween viewers somehow.
