Gaming could be getting a lot more real, and Minecraft creator Notch apparently doesn't want to get left behind. He's hinted on Twitter at possibly supporting the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset in both Minecraft and the upcoming 0x10c.

Oculus Rift reached its Kickstarter goal in under 24 hours, and it's currently more than quintupled it at over $1.3 million. And there's still 25 days to go.

Can you imagine wrapping that thing around your face and becoming totally immersed in the world of Minecraft? Those blocky textures must look fantastic when the screen is inches from your eyeballs.

Notch wrote in one tweet that he'd "suggest" adding Oculus Rift support to Minecraft, though the descision would ultimate be up to the game's current lead designer, Jens Bergensten.

Then he stated, "If we get it to work with Java, 0x10c will support it."

He's said previously that he's excited to get his hands on one. Is virtual reality on your list of desired Minecraft features? Tell us in the comments or on Twitter.
