It looks like today is finally the day that we all knew was a long time coming. The day that someone over at Microsoft 'officially' mentions that there will be a new Xbox. Granted, the gaming world has known for sometime that there was going to be a new Xbox, but it was mainly speculation thanks to a leaked 56 page design document that made it's way online earlier this year. Codenamed 'Durango', or more commonly referred '720', was mentioned by Windows Live general manager Brian Hall last week in an interview with IGN.

"We just decided it was time to do something new and bring the best from each of those- put them together and release it right in time for the new wave of products that we have coming out with Windows 8, with the new version of Office, with the new Windows Phone and the new Xbox."

There have been a ton of rumors about what the 720 will and won't do. Everything from having a built in Kinect sensor, to not being able to play used games. At this point it's still just a ton of guesswork, but sometimes that's the best bit, playing the 'what if' game. The only thing we can say for certain is that 2013 is going to be a huge year for the entire industry.
