First Arrested Development comes back, and now this? Be still our hearts. Vulture is reporting that a Sony-produced pilot starring Michael J. Fox has been shopped around networks recently, and, unsurprisingly, everyone is very interested. Not many details have been released about the series yet, but it is known that it is a comedy that will be filmed in NYC and inspired by Fox's own life, with Easy A's Will Gluck directing and Arrested Development's Sam Laybourne attached as a writer. So says Vulture:
All four major network chiefs have heard the pitch, and two industry sources — using phrases such as "feeding frenzy" and "bidding war" — tell us it's now just a matter of which network will offer the most attractive deal to Fox, Gluck, and Sony. Our spies say the project will, at the very least, get an automatic pilot production commitment; there's even industry buzz about one network offering to go straight to series, something that hardly ever happens in broadcast TV anymore.
In short, it's only a matter of time before more details about this project are leaked (we can only hope they'll take some cues from Fox's hilarious guest spot on Curb Your Enthusiasm).
Until then - who's excited to see Fox back on TV?
