Looks like President Ronald Reagan is the popular kid in the class this season. In addition to Alan Rickman portraying the late president in Lee Daniels' upcoming film, The Butler, The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Michael Douglas has just signed on to play the president as well in the indie drama Reykjavik

The film will take place over the course of a few days in 1986, specifically set when Reagan met up with Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev in Iceland to discuss peace and love, etc. No word yet on who will portray Gorbachev, but color us intrigued already. Mike Newell is reportedly in talks to direct.
