According to Deadline, Universal Pictures has hired writer Billy Ray (The Hunger Games) to write the script for Martin Scorsese’s upcoming biopic of Frank Sinatra, which will simply be titled Sinatra. The movie is being made in conjunction with Sinatra’s estate and will be produced by his daughter, Tina Sinatra.

Unlike most music biopics, the producers have secured the rights to Sinatra’s library from his estate, so the film will actually feature songs from the man himself. Scorsese is currently filming The Wolf of Wall Street with Leonardo DiCaprio, and he hasn’t yet committed to his next project. But with a script in place, Sinatra might take priority over everything else on his list.
