By now, most of you have probably seen The Dark Knight Rises and know all about the shocking ending that involved Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character, John Blake. If not, you might want to stop reading now. But for everyone else, Gordon-Levitt had some interesting things to say about the future of the franchise during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live (via MTV) this week. When asked if he would eventually take over the series as the new Batman, he responded:

None

Despite everyone clamoring for more of Christopher Nolan's version of Batman, it's evident that the series is over and done with. Even Gordon-Levitt is acknowledging that Rises was a fitting end for the trilogy, so we're not expecting any spin-off movies any time soon. That being said, we would be shocked if Warner Bros. doesn't relaunch the franchise with a new cast and director within seven years.
