With most of the stars and supporting characters from the first two Hangover movies returning for The Hangover Part III, director Todd Phillips does need to fill the roles of a few new characters that have never appeared in the series before. And Variety is reporting that he is eyeing John Goodman to fill the most important new role in the film.

According to the site, Goodman is currently in talks to take the role of the film's villain. Much like Paul Giamatti's character in The Hangover Part II, the part will be small, yet vital to the movie's plot. If he does indeed sign on, Goodman will be joining the likes of Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Ken Jeong, Heather Graham, and others in this third, and final, Hangover movie.

The Hangover Part III will open on May 24, 2013.
